MATT DRIVES TO VICTORY LANE AT VALVOLINE RACEWAY
SYDNEY NSW: 5 November 2016.
On a historic night at Valvoline Raceway, 22 year old Matt Dumesny parked in Victory Lane for the first time.
To his surprise after pulling up onto the podium, Matt discovered his father Max had drove from 8th to finished 3rd and would share his maiden win on podium with him. “I couldn’t be happier to have my first win with my hero, my dad, here on podium with me and on mums birthday, Happy Birthday Mum.” Explains Matt.
With the last few seasons challenging the New South Wales 57 team, they have had an awesome start to the race season. The team had a perfect night, qualifying quickest in their group, winning their heat and the feature for the first time.
“I’m still lost for words. Matt has had a very calm approach to the start of the season. You know how tough this game is, mentally for drivers and crew. To hit the podium at home 3 from 3 has proved Matt has a genuine talent and give us great confidence as a team especially coming into the International season. Tonight was great for our team and our families.” States Cameron Coghlan, crew chief of the N57 machine.
Tonight was a proud moment for the entire Dumesny Racing team, all 4 cars made it to the main event. 3 placing in the top 10 and 2 on podium with 1 taking the win.
