MAX AND THE V5 TEAM WRAP UP THE 2015/2016 SEASON BY WINNING THE FIRST NEW SOUTH WALES ULTIMATE SPRINTCAR CHAMPIONSHIP
NELSON, NSW: April 18 2016. Saturday night at Valvoline Raceway concluded the inaugural 2015/2016 Ultimate Sprintcar Season.
The V5 team have won the NSW championship in the Inaugural Ultimate Sprintcar Championship (USC) season, originally the NSW Sprintcar Championship was modernised by Valvoline Raceway and its team with The Sprintcar Control Council Association’s (SCCA) support.
“It was an enjoyable and good season, it’s pretty special to win the first NSW USC. The Dumesny race was a fun and memorable experience and was great to have whole family on the track together. Thank you to everyone at Valvoline Raceway for making the night possible”, Max stated.
“It’s disappointing we didn’t get a win this season, but overall we were consistent and we’re happy that we didn’t have any DNF’s (Did Not Finish), explained crew chief Darryl “Mouse” Green.
“Barry, Steve and the team have done a great job pulling the USC together. It was a shame we didn’t run in Toowoomba, as were weren’t in the hunt for the overall championship on Saturday night but it was awesome to win the USC NSW”, said Dumesny. Max finished out his season with a pinched nerve in his neck that stopped the team from racing at the Easter Trail and Toowoomba for the final USC round at the track, however Max and his team still placed 5th in the overall points for the Ultimate Sprintcar Championship.
Max would like to thank all of his sponsors for their ongoing support, Valvoline, GKR Transport, Red Ed Sheds, Max Wheel, PWR, Blackshaws, the crew (Mouse, Dave, Steve and Freddy), his family and friends for their support 2015/2016 season.
